I haven’t done much programming outside of work in the last two months for different reasons. I just haven’t wanted to make software, or show it, or read about it.

I started working on an idea I’ve had for a while last night. It’s not that novel, just plugging things together, but it’ll give me an opportunity to learn with Swift and play with code that others have written. Swift still needs to be taken slowly so I don’t get too frustrated with the tools and give up, but it is a nice bridge from the familiar to other concepts that makes learning them more approachable.

p.s. I have to call out Tony DiPasquale’s three posts (1, 2, 3) on JSON parsing (leading to Argo) as really excellent.
